Darren Groom & Alan Phillips from UK

a Blue Marlin, Est 350lb, Sailfish, a nice Yellowfin Tuna 155lb, small Dorrado
and Wahoo. Despite having a broken foot Darren still managed to haul in the
Marlin.

Andre Sovik from Latvia
Andre originally booked one day but after catching nothing, booked another
day and was well rewarded with a 605lb Blue Marlin, which unfortunately
went to fish market after tail wrapping itself in an amazing air display.
He then went on to catch a 158lb Yellowfin Tuna and a 30lb Dorado.
Richard Hesford & Friends from the Four Seasons Hotel Group
Had an arm wrenching day with a triple hook up of Porpoise ( yes,
Flipper). Two of the three shook off but it then took the guys a three
and a half hour fight before we sucessfully released the Porpoise
in good health. (sorry no pictures at the moment)
Liz & Garry Hickman and
Ollie Cripps from UK
Took part in the 41st Annual Spice Island Billfish Tournament at the
Grenada Yacht Club. On day 1 Liz hooked a Sailfish which was then
released after pictures taken. Next in the fighting chair was husband
Garry, who sucessfully boated a 147lb Yellowfin Tuna.Garry then went
on to release another Sailfish after a photo shot. Not to be out done
Ollie then landed a 146lb Yellowfin Tuna. Day 2 started with lines
in at 7am and by 7.40am Surf 'N' Turf had released a White Marlin,
the first billfish released by all participant boats. Then 30 minutes
later we were hooked up and fighting a Blue Marlin, estimated 300/400lb.
After 30 minutes it shook the hook, much to our disgust. That was
just the start of our bad luck, we had an oil cooler let go, which
disbursed all the oil out of one engine, which we had to shut down
and come back to port. With only half a tournament fished, we still
received Top Lady Angler and finished in the top 15 out of 51 boats.

The Mansbridge Family from UK
Mum, dad and their sons, John & Tom, booked a full day and an hour
after putting our lines in a Blue Marlin came in the spread and took one
of the smallest baits we were pulling. After a crazy 30 minute fight it
shook the hook. Around midday a smaller Blue Marlin hit the same rod and
was hooked up and taking a lot of line. After 30 minutes the fish was
released in good health and John & Tom over the moon having seen such
a big fish.
Bob the builder and his
work crew from Barbados
Chartered the boat for a full day, boated one Wahoo and lost another.
Then in the afternoon hooked up a Blue Marlin, estimated 250lb which fought
really well on a 50lb set up. After an hour of fighting the fish was tagged
and released.
